Here are a few of the answers to questions asked by some of our user on how the PaySpot point of sale (POS) app works.

  • Is the PaySpot App available for Windows, Android and iOS?

    Currently the PaySpot App is only available for Android, we are working on releasing other versions of the App for iOS and Window. Want to be the first to know when we launch for other operating systems? Why not send us a quick message at cservices@mypayspot.co to get a notification

  • Which download option should I use?

    It really doesn't make much of a difference which option you use as both options will download the same App version. It really comes down to which option is more convenient for you. If you do not have a Google ID, we recommend you download the direct APK.

  • I am getting a security warning when I try to install via a direct APK?

    By default all Android phones will show a security warning when you try and install Apps outside the Google Play store. To enable you to proceed, just tap "Settings" and enable the option "Unknown Sources".

  • During signup, I did not receive my activation code?

    Not to worry, sometimes activation codes can take time to come through. If after 5 minutes, this has not come through you can email us at cservices@mypayspot.co. However, if you do receive the code after you have exited signup, you can simply continue activation by tapping "Activate Account" on the PaySpot login screen.

  • I have previously created a PaySpot account. Do I need to create a new account when I download and re-install this App?

    No you don't, If you had un-installed PaySpot for whatever reason and decided to install it again, you can still login using you previously created account and corresponding login details.


Managingyour balance.


  • What is my "PaySpot Balance" and how can I add funds?

    The balance is a secure wallet that is associated with your PaySpot account. It is from this balance that we deduct the cost of any product you sell or payments you accept. You can add funds into your balance by Credit / Debit card, Mobile Money or Bank Transfer depending on your country of residence.

  • How much does it cost to use the PaySpot App?

    PaySpot charges a nominal fee for using the POS, this varies with your country but is usually the local equivelance of US$1.00 per month or US$9.49 per annum. You do not need a credit or debit card as this subscription is automatically deducted from your balance.

  • Why am I being asked to verify my ID before adding funds to my balance?

    For your security, fraud protection and to ensure we meet KYC regulations, you maybe asked to verify your ID before you start using the App. All your data is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

  • I have just uploaded funds but my balance has not updated?

    Try refreshing your balance by tapping on the amount. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact us by navigating to the help and support section of the App.

  • How do I find out what products or services I can sell through PaySpot?

    We have 1000's of products and services available through PaySpot. From pre-paid mobile airtime, electricity to shopping vouchers and bill payments; All products and services are visible by navigating to the "Services" menu.

  • How can I remember my customers meter numbers, so it's easier when they buy from me again?

    PaySpot provides an easy way for you to manage all your favourite customer details. Once you have saves these once, you can always reuse these details for future transactions.

  • How do I provide my customer with a receipt if I dont have a printer.

    Dont worry if you havent got a bluetooth printer connected to your POS app. Once a transaction has been completed succesfully, PaySpot gives you the option to print the reciept or send it to your customer via SMS, Whatsapp, Skype, Facebook or Viber.

  • How does my beneficiary know I have sent them a product or paid a bill?

    We inform your beneficiary by SMS when you send them a product or pay a bill. However after every transaction, you will also have an opportunity to send them a receipt or notification from the App using SMS or Whatsapp, Skype, Facebook or Viber.
